"GIRL IN WOODS" Synopsis

A young woman on a romantic weekend trip with her boyfriend suddenly finds herself lost in the vast Appalachian Mountains after her boyfriend is accidently killed, leaving her with no food, water, or way home. Left without her medication, she begins to mentally break down, remembering her past as it shapes her future battle for survival. From the director and producer of Live Animals comes Girl in Woods, a terrifying journey into the mind of a mentally disturbed woman and her harrowing fight to survive in the wilderness.

Grace Walker (Juliet Reeves) witnesses her father commit suicide when she was only eight-years-old, and this memory has scarred her for life. Now as an adult, she tries to get by, and with the help of her boyfriend Jim (Jeremy London) and her medication she is able to live a normal life. But when Jim is accidently killed while they are on a hike in the mountains, Grace is left to survive on her own, facing her past, present, and future all at once.

For each day she goes without her dose of meds, more of the violent memories take root and spread through her mind, shaping the decisions she makes to survive. Grace soon learns that finding food, water, and shelter are the least of her worries. Something is stalking her through the woods, watching her sleep, waiting for its moment to pounce. A demon.

As a child Grace turned to Momma (Charisma Carpenter) to help confront the demons in her mind. But now, alone in the wilderness, she has no one but herself to rely on. In a fight to save her mind, Grace must battle the demons of her past while being hunted in the flesh. Falling deeper into the dark sludge of her mind and now forced with the decision to kill or be killed, Grace begins to embody the evil she fears, and realizes that her past might be more horrific than she remembers.
